Case Study: “This ‘Morning Metabolism’ Protocol Wakes Up My Metabolism”

A follower of ours sent in her inspiring story (below). 

It has some helpful insights so we thought we’d post it here. Please remember, her results are hers alone. Other people may do the same, worse, or even much better than she did.

Jill's Case Study:

"I feel a bit weird about sharing my story.

But I struggled for years and I know lots of people could benefit from this.

Plus, I would’ve wanted to read something like this when I was struggling. 

So here’s what happened…

I had a dreadful experience on a recent dream vacation.

I went with my husband and my best friend Amy and her husband
Everything was supposed to be perfect.

But shortly after I arrived I found myself crying in my room.

Everyone was waiting for me on the beach but there I was, sobbing as I stared in the mirror.

I just put on my new swimsuit, and for the first time I looked sheepishly in the mirror… 

And I was mortified!

The way I felt as I looked in the mirror was something I don’t wish on anybody.

After passing 40, having kids, a very stressful job… 

I wasn’t even close to being the person I wanted to be.

And as I looked in the mirror I imagined everyone at that beach staring at me…

I imagined them laughing or secretly thinking to themselves, “How does she dare wear that?!”

And as I looked at myself I thought, “How did I let things get this far?”

I didn’t feel like “me” anymore.

I felt like I had lost myself.

I definitely had lost all my confidence! 

And what was worse for me mentally was that Amy used to be further away from her goal than I was now!
But in the last few months she had totally transformed herself.

Ans she is even 11 years older than me!

Which just made me think, “What’s wrong with me? She could do it, why can’t I?”

And as I stood there I realized I was letting everybody in my life down. 

I wasn’t the best version of myself I knew I could be. 

And it was affecting everything…

My friends, my husband, and even my kids!

And that realization broke my heart into pieces.

It was at that moment I decided to do whatever it took.

No more excuses or putting it off!

Right then I committed 100% to find something. Anything! 

So I dried my eyes and went down to the beach (covered up of course).

I put on a “happy” face for the rest of the vacation, but I’m sure I fooled no one.
After I got back home I searched for answers. 

But I only found the same old fads that I’ve tried countless times. 

But then, as if God knew I needed help, I got a text from Amy.

Amy said she could tell I was not myself lately and then politely guessed why. 

She then told me that her recent success was from avoiding something called “disruptors.”

These disruptors hide in some foods, even healthy foods, and they can ruin our metabolism and hormones. 

She also said she was adding in the right “boosting” foods for her metabolism.

She learned all this by following a Metabolism expert.

Amy said this expert helped her see that success was all about hormones. 

And the first step was finding the right nutrients to “wake up” her metabolism and stop disruptors.

Then she gave me the page to get the same “metabolism cards” that got her started on her journey.
So I got a set of metabolism cards and here’s what happened…

The cards had a quick metabolism test that told me my disruptor “type”. 

Then I looked at my “type” on the cards to know what foods were good/bad for me.

It seemed like it would work but I was still skeptical.

But, it had worked for Amy…

So, I took all my faith and jumped into the deep end.

I was ALL in!

I figured I had nothing to lose anyway.

So I started using my cards and removed my disruptors and added in the boosting foods.

Now, to give you all the good and the bad, it wasn’t all smooth sailing.

I was a tad confused at where to start at the beginning. 

They give you a lot of info plus it’s not just one “plan” that everyone gets.

Every step is totally customized for each person. 

So reading what was right for other people was actually confusing me.

So here’s my tip: I would get started with the cards, take the test, then get her Jumpstart and follow JUST the Jumpstart you get. 

Everyone’s Jumpstart is a little different.

So that was the only bad thing I experienced. But really, had I just read the instructions given to me I wouldn’t have been confused!
So I was lucky enough to have Amy share her success with me.

And that’s why I wanted to tell my story because I know not everyone has their own “Amy” in their life.

So for anyone struggling out there… I HIGHLY recommend just getting started. 

And get started on ANYTHING! Just get moving.

So to recap here’s what I did in a nutshell:

1. Got my metabolism cards and took the test to customize them for me

2. Cut out all my disruptors (a lot easier than I thought)

3. Added in the right “boosting” foods and nutrients for my metabolism type

4. Took the “craving test” and did the four-day Jumpstart (kind of like a detox but customized)
